There is something about formal gardens that just makes me happy. Maybe it's the order. I kinda wish my own garden had a little more order although there is something to be said for that controlled messy look right? Sort of like controlled scrappy in a quilt. The greens of this line combined with the aqua just evoke water and gardens. GORGEOUS! Maybe you need a little bit of that in your life too. This line of fabric would make one fabulous quilt to sleep under, in your own formal garden!

Holly Taylor says, "Growing up in Minnesota meant family trips to the northern part of the state. Every summer there was a new lodge to visit. Our Dad would take us out during the day to try and capture sight of a moose, bear or deer. Our favorite place was the dump where you were sure to spot a bear in the early morning. Those fond memories were the inspiration for this group of woodsy nature prints and batiks. I plan on a quilt using both of the panels to remember those carefree, exciting times spent in all the splendor that nature offers."

Living in Michigan, I can relate to the wanting to hibernate during the winter! Those bears sure know how to live. Pack on some additional weight and sleep the cold away. This line is so vibrant and beautiful in person. The colors are rich and saturated. It reminds me of some of those beautiful sunsets you see once in a life time! I found a couple of them online that illustrate what I mean.

Don't these photos illustrate how much the fabric looks like the sunsets? Do you have beautiful sunsets where you live? We are in a metropolitan area so our sunsets are not usually so awe inspiring but the ones up north in Canada or northern Michigan are quite beautiful.
